Notes:
1. If your PC does not have a serial
port and you don't have a USB Cable
you will need to purchase a USB to serial
Port adapter. We have had the best luck
with Belkin. We cannot
guarantee 100% percent functionality
i.e. Uploading Maps from your pc with
any of these style adapters..
Upgrade Notes:
1. The 'Wastegate Closed Below MAP (psi,
OFF = 0)' is not working properly at
all in ver 2.7, and stays constantly
on WGS (waste gate shut) mode at all
boost levels. This means that if you
are using the boost solenoid output,
then any time you are above 80% throttle,
the solenoid would hold open at 100%
duty which would make the car overboost.
2. The 'Spare Solenoid ON above MAP
(psi)' is faulty in ver 2.7. If you
set a value such as 0psi, it would not
turn on until about 30 or 40psi.
Important
Notes to Read BEFORE Uploading v2.8d
to your UTEC:
- Save your maps to your PC BEFORE
loading the v2.8d software. If you
do not, you will erase your maps and
you will not be able to recover them.
- DO NOT upload old parameter files.
Make a note of your parameter settings
BEFORE reflashing, download the new
parameter file from above that most
closely matches your level of modification,
upload the parameter file to your
UTEC, and than make any changes manually.
- DO NOT use MAF Based maps with Speed
Density parameters files or vice versa
- DO NOT use Speed Density maps without
having valid parameter settings
- DO NOT use MAF Based maps without
having valid parameter settings
- It is reccommended that you recheck
Air:Fuel Ratio values after upgrading
your software from earlier versions.
