Huge bolt on replacement core that is 3.5" x 11.75" x 24" dwarfing the stock core. The bar and plate core design dramatically improves cooling efficiency over the stock tube and fin design. The kit utilizes the factory IC piping or any aftermarket IC pipe kit that works with the stock core. Stainless Steel T-bolt clamps, silicone hose joiners, and all hardware needed included.

Short ram intake include billet aluminum MAF adapter, K&N pod filter, and mounting bracket. The TurboXS intake is engineered to maintain the correct mass air flow sensor signal leading avoiding some of the problems associated with running improperly designed intakes.

Utilizing the largest bar and plate core we could fit under the hood, the TXS TMIC is over 2 times the volume of the stock TMIC. The larger volume reduces the pressure drop across the IC while the bar and plate core design improves the cooling efficiency. Comes complete with replacement silicone Y piece and stainless steel T-bolt clamps.

The TXS TMIC for the Subaru Forester XT utilizes the same core as our highly regarded WRX TMIC. However, we have modified the mounting system to allow installation into the Forester XT. TurboXS introduces the 2008 WRX and STI Cold Air Intake. As rule of thumb on a turbocharged vehicle you will want to free up the flow into the turbocharger allowing it to build boost much easier through a less restrictive intake path. The use of a high quality filter element was required to keep up with the air flow demands of a 2.5L Turbocharged engine. Air is directed through a polished lightweight mandrel bent aluminum piping reducing any flow restrictions. A precisely machined mass air flow housing to ensure the sensor calibration is not altered causing any adverse effects to the vehicles air to fuel ratio. The kit is designed to fit with our upcoming front mount intercooler so, do not worry that you will be buying another intake in the future.

Made from mandrel bent 3” diameter aluminum pipes and a custom CNC machined aluminum Mass Airflow Sensor Housing, the TurboXS Mazdaspeed 3 Cold Air Intake reduces the intake restriction caused by the stock airbox. This means your turbocharger doesn’t have to work as hard to make boost. A more efficient turbocharger means less heating up of the intake charge, and therefore less work for your intercooler to do to cool the intake charge down. It’s all good news for your engine and your performance!

The leading cause of inconsistent horsepower output from your Mazdaspeed 3’s MZR 2.3 DISI powerplant is due to inconsistent air intake temperatures. When you drive your MS3 hard, the tiny stock Top Mount Intercooler quickly becomes heat soaked. Intake temps rise quickly and power output drops off accordingly. Sure, you could replace your stock TMIC with an aftermarket TMIC that is slightly larger than the stock TMIC, but that only delays the inevitable heat soak that comes from having a small intercooler core that is positioned smack on top of your hot engine. So what’s a MS3 owner to do?
