TurboXS HPBC (High Performance Boost Controller) delivers +30 hp and +36 ft/lbs of torque at the wheels and is unquestionably the best "bang for your buck"  performance modification for the SRT-4.

The TurboXS SRT-4 Boost Upgrade dramatically increases the performance of your Dodge. 

This selection of parts is essential for your high performance build up:  High Performance Wastegate Actuator, a Type RFL blow-off valve plus adaptor kit, and the TurboXS SBC boost controller.

When turning up the boost, the factory wastegate is inadequate at maintaining higher boost pressures due to a week actuator.  TurboXS incorporates a high performance wastegate actuator designed to handle the additional pressure all the way to redline.

Upgrading the wastegate puts more pressure on the stock solenoid controlled bypass valve which looses as much as 5 pounds of boost pressure, over works the turbocharger, and causes higher intake temps, which results in a loss of horsepower.  The TurboXS Type RFL blow-off valve kit is designed to handle the boost all the way to redline and lets everyone know you mean business!  Dyno plots coming soon.  

On race fuel at about 18 psi the TurboXS SRT-4 went 13.6 @ 107.4 mph in the quarter mile (2.4 60ft on stock wheels and tires.  What can I say, we're used to racing AWD WRXs ;).

TurboXS HPBC

 
The HPBC has two (2) boost control mechanisms built into it, ball and spring mechanism for large and coarse boost pressure increases and the other is a bleed valve system for precise boost pressure setting. The ball and spring mechanism keeps pressure out of the wastegate until the preset boost level is reached, significantly reducing wastegate creep and providing quicker turbo spool up. 
   

TurboXS strapped our SRT-4 on the dyno for a first run of 220 hp but after repeated runs on the dyno it became stronger and stronger until HP peaked at 230.1.  This will be used as our base line for all upcoming components.

The HPBC allows for quicker spool up of the turbocharger along with a smoother boost curve.  This boost pressure is on the high end of what this turbo is capable of but illustrates what you can expect at such a pressure.  We would recommend running  just under 16 psi for use with regular 93 octane.  Yes, traction is a major problem so take a look at our DSBC for that extra edge at the strip.

Unlike most turbocharged vehicles the SRT-4 requires a very specific installation of the boost controller to prevent the ecu from reacting adversely to the increased boost pressure.
